POPs Walks 2026

Published: 5 Mar 26

Just a reminder about this month's 'POPs' walk this Sunday, March 8th. We will meet at Robin's DIY Store (previously Winfield's, before that Barratts of Feckenham Camping), at the usual time of 10:20am to set off 10:30am ON THE DOT! We did a trial 'run' yesterday, it took about 1 hour 30 minutes and was just over 3.5 miles. The going was fairly good, some hilly parts and a little boggy in places but this may have dried up by Sunday. We could have a coffee in Robin's Nest after walking or we could choose to visit 'The Halfway House' or 'The Crickets Inn', it is open for discussion. Is there anyone interested in leading the walk on April 12th? If so please send me an email or tell me on Sunday if you are out with us. We are willing to do it, but it would make a change for someone else to choose a route and give everyone a different slant on things. We hope to see some of you on Sunday but wherever you are I hope you get to enjoy the good weather we are supposed to be getting. Ring Mick on 07367 582045 for and queries Read More...

POPs Walks 2026

A very Happy New Year one and all! Welcome to our THIRD year of 'POPs' walks. Our first walk of 2026 is this Sunday, January 11th. We will meet at Moira Furnace (the first car park by the play area) at 10:20am and leave at 10:30am, ON THE DOT! Mick and I did a trial walk on Tuesday. It is a gentle walk, (all good paths, a few ups and downs, not taxing) picked because of the weather forecasts predicted. It took us an hour and a quarter at steady pace and is approximately 3.5 miles. If anyone would like to finish off with a quick pint there are a few pubs nearby we could drop in to! The dates for the rest of 2026 are as follows:- February 8th March 8th April 12th May 10th June 14th July 12th August 9th September13th October11th November 8th December 13th All walks will leave at 10:30am EXCEPT the November 8th walk (this will leave at 1:30pm to accommodate the Remembrance Day Service) Meeting points for walks February and onwards still TBC. Hope some of you can make it on Sunday, if not we look forward to seeing you whenever you feel up to it! As usual any problems/questions etc. 'phone/text Mick 07367 582045 (or WhatsApp) Read More...
