Burial ICCM training

Upcoming Burial Board Training Course, which may be of interest to clerks, managers and councillors involved with cemetery and burial ground responsibilities.
The course is being run by the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management (ICCM) and is a practical, interactive one‑day course designed to build confidence in legal compliance, memorial safety and effective cemetery management. It focuses on what to look for and how to carry out basic inspections and testing, helping councils manage their burial responsibilities more confidently and safely.

There is plentiful nearby parking, and the cemetery used for the practical element is approximately 50 yards from the venue.
Trainer
The course will be delivered by Martin Birch FICCM (Dip),
Chair of the ICCM Board and Operations Manager for Bereavement and Registration Services, Cardiff. Martin has extensive hands‑on experience across cemetery operations, memorial safety, crematoria management and bereavement services.
